Lucky for us we now live in a modern world wherein we're free to make our own choices, thus having control over what we want to do with our lives. For people who want to get ahead in life but have no clue on how or where to start, this is what they have to keep in mind: you always have a choice.

Take for example Lisa, who, at 31 has been working for the same company for almost 10 years. However, opportunities to move up the corporate ladder seemed to be a bit slim. So for 10 years, she has only moved up once, from being a junior layout artist to a senior layout artist, which if you ask anyone, is not that big of a leap. As Lisa grows another year older, she started rethinking what she really wants to do with her life. Raising a family with her longtime boyfriend would be one, but of course they have to buy a house, save up for the wedding expenses...the list goes on. However, Lisa's paycheck doesn't allow her to save much so she trie to come up with ways on how to save money. First there was selling fashionable items on consignment which turned out to be quite costly and she was left with no time for herself. Then there was the part-time job as an english tutor but that too left her feeling tired and burned out. Freelancing gigs came few and far between so that was not much of a help.

Fortunately, a distant cousin of her came for a visit and was eager to share some good news: she recently struck gold. Not literally of course, but the former preschool teacher and busy mother of four has already quit her job, had more time for her family and earning more money that she could ever dreamed of. It's a good thing too that Lisa's cousin isn't selfish, when Lisa's asked her how she was able to do it all, she quickly shared with this with her.

After six months, Lisa was finally able to live the life she's always wanted and is now expecting baby no.2 with her husband of two years.
